Are you ready to add the ultimate homestead animal to your farm?
Icelandic sheep offer everything you need to producer your own nutritious and delicious food, and quality natural fiber. Some people even use them for milk.
I harvest 5 different products from my flock on a routine bases. These sheep are smaller than the average conventional breed, but they have a lot more to offer!
At this point, I am trying to keep my flock the same size, so every year I select breeding stock that are of high enough quality to contribute genetics to other flocks of various sizes.
Individuals will be listed here starting in late May/early June. You can place your non-refundable deposit of $200 here to hold individuals. The balance will be due upon pickup.
Experienced Ewes will be: $450
Ewe Lambs will be: $350
Ram Lambs will be: $350
Sheep will be ready for pickup starting July 15th. After you place your deposit, I will reach out to you to coordinate pickup or delivery. I will be present to help load your sheep, but you are 100% responsible for the safe loading and successful transport of your sheep to their new home.
The remainder of your payment will be due before the sheep are loaded for their trip home.
All sheep will be brand inspected and tested for B. Ovis, Ovine Progressive Pneumonia, Jhones, and Caseous Lymphadenitus ($50 of the purchase price goes towards testing and the brand inspection fees). If your sheep are going to a state other than Wyoming, there may be additional inspections and tests needed. In this case, you may need to cover the necessary fees for these inspections and tests.
If you would like your sheep bred ahead of time, contact me for logistics on timing and the additional cost of your sheep remaining here for the 2025 Fall breeding season. In my experience, Icelandic sheep are seasonal breeders and cannot breed before October, or after February, so they will need to breed in the Fall.
The list of available sheep will be posted here in May/June:
